Tuition

Mike has been teaching guitar, drums, bass guitar and theory since 2000. As well as giving private lessons in his home studio near Lichfield, Staffordshire, Mike has also taught at numerous high schools and primary schools over the years and is currently a Visiting Lecturer of Guitar at Wolverhampton University.

A wide range of styles is taught, including rock, pop, jazz, blues, funk, classical, reggae, latin and more, all to above grade 8 standard.

Students are encouraged to learn at their own pace and, when they’re ready, are able to be put in for exams if they so wish. In 15 years of teaching, Mike has put over 50 students in for exams (both Rockschool and Guildhall Classical) and has a 100% pass rate with most of those students achieving a Merit or Distinction.
